How enrollment works
Tour the room
See the classroom your child would join and meet the teachers who run it. Watch how the room is set up and where children eat and rest. Bring your questions with you. A tour is the best way to picture your child's day.
Enroll and settle in
Complete enrollment and plan a first week that suits your child's routine. We will ask who picks up and how you want to hear about the day. Shorter days can help at the start. You can ask us about anything you are unsure of.
What to have ready
Most families come with the enrollment forms, a health form and your child's immunization record. We also need emergency contacts and the names of everyone allowed to pick your child up. Have those names ready before the first day. If something is missing, just ask us what to do.
Pack a full change of clothes in case of spills or water play. Add outdoor gear for the season, nap items if your child uses them, and one small comfort object. Label everything with your child's name. Please remember we are a nut free school and cannot accept any food that contains nuts.
Before the first day, decide who does drop-off and who picks up. Tell us if someone new will collect your child. Let us know how you prefer to hear about the day, at pickup or by another way. We will follow your lead on what works for your family.
The first weeks
The first days are often shorter while your child gets used to the room. A comfort object from home can help through the morning. A teacher greets your child by name at the door. You can stay a few minutes if that helps the goodbye.
At pickup, teachers tell you how your child ate, slept and played. They will also share anything new your child tried or enjoyed. Most children settle within a few weeks. If your child is still finding it hard, we will talk it through with you.

Can we visit before deciding?
A tour is how most families decide. Children come along and see the rooms; they can sit down at a table and try the materials while you ask questions.
What should my child bring on the first day?
Families usually pack a change of clothes, a comfort object and anything your child needs for rest. Label each item with your child's name. You can ask us for a list that fits your child's age.
How do you handle the first weeks?

How will I know how my child is doing?
Parents usually hear about the day at pickup, when teachers share how your child ate, slept and played. If you want more detail, you can ask. You can also tell us the best way to reach you.
Do you offer part-time or flexible schedules?
Schedules depend on your child's age group and what is open. Ask us what is available for the days you need when you get in touch.
What if there is no place right now?
If your child's age group is full, you can ask us to let you know when a place opens. We will tell you as soon as we hear.
